For centuries pipe smokers have been enjoying the taste and versatility of flake tobacco.
Sliced into strips, flakes not only provide a generally richer, fuller taste by melding the flavors and oils of the component tobaccos, the slices allow the smoker a control over the burning characteristics not available from ribbon cuts. One can partially or fully rub out the flake or simply fold it in the full flake form, depending on mood and circumstances.
